Full on Ferry London

Who wants to celebrate New Year’s Eve in London with Ferry Corsten? Yeah that’s what I thought…

Check out Ferry’s big announcement:

“Full On Ferry London New Year’s Eve is going to be a spectacular show.  I have invited quite a number of guests, djs, friends of mine… and I am going to be playing back to back with all of them, so it’s going to be a spectacular night and the lineup will be announced shortly.”

Coldplay remixes have been all the rage lately, something that we find to be completely understandable as Chris Martin‘s vocals are…well, irresistible.  From SHM to Ferry Corsten and our fresh pick this week: Fedde Le Grand.  Fedde dropped his remix of ‘Paradise’ at the recent Nocturnal Wonderland, showing just how perfectly EDM serves to enhance almost any genre of music.  While this is just a sample, we can’t wait til the full version is out, enjoy!

Friday’s Food For Thought: A Grab Bag

Hello my beautiful edmNATION!

This weekend theUsualSuspects are headed off to Vancouver to see ….. SANDER VAN DOORN.  We are beyond esctatic and will be sure to give you a full report on our experience when we return to the lush Emerald City.

Before we head out for our adventure I wanted to bring you a medley of articles and videos to check out … I haven’t even done my makeup yet today so this is how much I love you.

First off Hardwell’s massive track ‘Cobra’ (posted about by OhBoisen below) will be released in full THIS MONDAY on beatport and itunes.  You can check out a preview on Hardwell’s soundcloud.  This track was also made the official anthem of Energy 2012 – a huge indoor festival in the Netherlands! Congrats Hardwell!

Cobra – Hardwell’s teaser

As a sidenote….Energy was previously known as Trance Energy and that was the only genre at the festival – in 2011 the festival was renamed Energy The Network and was open to all genres of electronica, read more about the history HERE.

Keeping on the subject of the trance family I have the latest episode of Ferry Corsten’s WKNDR where he goes to RUSSIA.

Next I have a video that features highlights of Avicii’s experience at Identity Festival this summer.

Be serenaded by the lovely Emma Hewitt in this unplugged version of ‘Waiting’ by Dash Berlin.

And lastly my personal track of the week is one ridiculously happy song.  Perfect for the weekend – Sneaky Sound System “Big” remixed by John Dahlback.

Happy Friday!

Electric Zoo Live Sets

Although I couldn’t make it back home for Electric Zoo I still wanted to stay on top of the live sets that are being being pumped into the veins of the EDM community from all over the place. As of right now my favorites have to go Alesso, Hardwell, and Sander van Doorn (followed closely by Ferry Corsten). Let me know what you think of the sets, but trust me it’ll take a while to listen to all of them, so take your time!

and then here’s Ferry Corsten’s

But it doesn’t stop there!
