Chuckie throws two of 2011’s smash hits together to create a unique mash up with Avicii’s Levels and Edward Maya’s Stereo Love! Didn’t think we’d be hearing much from E.Maya for a while…
AN21 & Max Vangeli, R3HAB, Tiesto, Avicii, Pete Tong and Dirty South? Absolutely.
First I have AN21 (Antione Josefsson – Steve Angello’s younger brother) & Max Vangeli’s Essential Mix that aired on the fifth. Their debut album should be released in the near future and we can expect to hear some collaborations with Dirty South and Example.
Next I have R3HAB’s set from Escape from Wonderland with free download available by clicking on the downward facing arrow to the right.
For those of us aching to relive Freaknight Festival or are simply enamored with the renowned Tiesto I have a live set from him in LA.
Next is a clip of what is said to be Avicii’s latest remix of Eric Turner’s ‘Dancing In My Head’.
We all know and love the host of BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix: Pete Tong. Well this two hour set is by the man himself and below is his ‘essential selection’.
And lastly Dirty South’s take on Nero’s ‘Me and You’.
This Halloween season, it seems everyone is throwing out remixes of Duck Sauce‘s ‘Big Bad Wolf‘. One of our favorites to surface is DJ Woo Wee’s mashup of Avicii‘s ‘Levels’ and ‘Big Bad Wolf’. Spooky? Not so much, but then again, it beats Christmas music which is just around the corner!
This past week Avicii secured his spot in the EDM history books by rocking the legendary Studio 54 Nightclub in NYC. Studio 54 was known for it’s lavish parties during the 70’s and 80’s, but was shut down in the 90’s and converted into a minor theater. Well that all changed on the 18th of October when SiriusXM and Avicii teamed up to throw a one night only show at the legendary location.
‘new york, good to be back! playin legendary Studio 54 that opens up for 1 more night tmrw with
@siriusxm! waka waka wakaaa’ – Via Twitter
If that isn’t incredible enough, Tim also announced this from his FaceBook page:
‘NYC – see you tonight at the original STUDIO 54 location. The doormen ensured me they will let 100 people in from the street in addition to the insane guest list! Hope they are my fans! ♥
Tonight we’re part of music history?!’
Whoever those lucky 100 people were definitely got the experience of a lifetime! Without further ado, here’s the #6 DJ in the WORLD’s set, so crank the volume and enjoy.

Hello my beautiful edmNATION!
This weekend theUsualSuspects are headed off to Vancouver to see ….. SANDER VAN DOORN. We are beyond esctatic and will be sure to give you a full report on our experience when we return to the lush Emerald City.
Before we head out for our adventure I wanted to bring you a medley of articles and videos to check out … I haven’t even done my makeup yet today so this is how much I love you.
First off Hardwell’s massive track ‘Cobra’ (posted about by OhBoisen below) will be released in full THIS MONDAY on beatport and itunes. You can check out a preview on Hardwell’s soundcloud. This track was also made the official anthem of Energy 2012 – a huge indoor festival in the Netherlands! Congrats Hardwell!
As a sidenote….Energy was previously known as Trance Energy and that was the only genre at the festival – in 2011 the festival was renamed Energy The Network and was open to all genres of electronica, read more about the history HERE.
Keeping on the subject of the trance family I have the latest episode of Ferry Corsten’s WKNDR where he goes to RUSSIA.
Next I have a video that features highlights of Avicii’s experience at Identity Festival this summer.
Be serenaded by the lovely Emma Hewitt in this unplugged version of ‘Waiting’ by Dash Berlin.
And lastly my personal track of the week is one ridiculously happy song. Perfect for the weekend – Sneaky Sound System “Big” remixed by John Dahlback.
Boasting a Grammy nomination for her song ‘Fantasy‘ (Morgan Page remix), this globally renowned singer/songwriter is just warming up. Those who have listened to her work can testify that Nadia Ali truly does have the voice of an angel.
Recognized as one of EDM‘s leading ladies, her melodious, elegant vocals have been featured by the likes of Avicii, Alesso and even Armin van Buuren to begin the lengthy list. Though Nadia grew up loving an extensive variety of musical genres, her experiences across the world (born in Libya, moved to Pakistan and then New York in the 1980’s) helped foster her desire to maintain diversity in her collaborations.
‘Rapture’, the haunting track produced as a result of Nadia‘s work with iiO, thrust her to the top of the EDM scene. Her voice quickly because a sound that resonates within each song it is featured in.
And to think, this is only the beginning framework of Nadia’s career. We have a lot to look forward to with this songstress paving the way for females in the EDM industry. Here is a little sampler of Nadia Ali.
I know that EDC Vegas was months ago, but having Avicii’s live set come up on random and having seen him play it live at Global Dance Festival I had to post this. This song sends shivers down your spine and makes you crave more and is one of the many reasons why this young DJ is sought after so ravenously right now.
Take one of house music’s greats, let him play with his 21st century counterpart and you’ll get one of the most anticipated tracks of the summer. David Guetta and Avicii channel the the old and the new into ‘Sunshine’. We can’t wait to see what new types of collabs Avicii seeks out next because this one is phenomenal!
